Music Scholarships

Adult/College Student Scholarships

Now Accepting Applications for the current year.  The next scholarship will be given away in June 2020 (deadline is May 1st).  The second scholarship of 2020 will be given away in September 2020 (deadline is August 1st).

Although priority is given to students intending to major in music, talented non-majors planning to participate in large ensembles and private lessons are also eligible. Prospective students who apply for scholarship assistance may receive scholarship offers based upon a variety of factors. While a demonstration of basic talent is important, other issues such as musical background activities and level of involvement in the community or school are considered.

Applicants should submit a written essay not to exceed 500 words expressing their interest and qualifications.  A cover page is required, get cover page here.  Examples of musical accomplishments are also required.

Applicants must be Michigan residents and undergraduates currently enrolled or in the process of enrollment in an accredited college, university, recognized trade school,  or school of music. Must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher.

There will be two DStreet Music Foundation Scholarships offered at $1000 each.
